Sr Engineer - O&R Substations & Transmission Engineering
About The Position
A Substation Engineer is required to join a collaborative engineering culture within Orange and Rockland Engineering. This role offers broad and diverse experience, managing projects ranging from small to large, providing opportunities for engineers to learn and be challenged. The Senior Engineer, operating under the limited supervision of the Principal Senior Electrical Engineer or Section Manager of Transmission and Substation Engineering, will perform Electrical Engineering work specifically within the Substation Engineering discipline. This work encompasses the design and application of Utility grade substation systems for the Company's transmission and substation infrastructure. Additionally, the Senior Engineer will provide engineering support to various operational groups across the Company, serve on committees as needed, and represent the Company at industry meetings.
Responsibilities
- Performs Electrical Engineering work in the Substation Engineering discipline
- Involves the design and application of Utility grade substation systems to the transmission and substation systems for the Company
- Provides engineering support to various operations groups throughout the Company
- Serve on committees as required
- Attend and represent the Company at industry meetings
