About The Position

We are a Sustaining Engineering group in our R D organization. We work closely with R D group and support Pilot Line Operation to carry out the experiments. Interacting closely with the Engineering, Maintenance and Management teams to ensure we are making progress in developing the latest media technology. The position will require the employee to follow all procedures and protocols. Provide technical support and suggestions to Engineering, run machines efficiently and effectively. Collect related data on measuring tools, maintain excellent documentation, and work collaboratively in a team environment to help exceed goals. Monitor real time data from process tools and the take corrective actions for out-of-control situations. Troubleshoot an issue and provide a solution. Collaborate with multiple functional groups to improve operation efficiency, cost reduction and yield improvement.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with process planning and analysis for issue root cause identification, design / process improvement
  • Apply statistical analysis, quality control, using tools such as flow-charting, design and drafting support and document control

  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for mechanism understanding and obtaining solutions.
  • Designing and performing laboratory experiments to evaluate media design concepts, optimize design, and perform analysis to enhance overall capability of processes and working models.
  • Hands on product development, modeling and reporting of results.
  • Team player and potential for project management
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience, or master's degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience, or PHD and 0+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and ability to achieve deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot issues and provide a solution.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point), including the ability to adapt to and learn new programs quickly.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Working well with cross functional team members to resolve technical issues and improve efficiency.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for understanding and obtaining solutions.
  • Good data analytical skills and strong attention to details.
  • Fundamental understanding of material properties & their relation to failure analysis.
  • Capability to work directly with equipment and material suppliers to identify the best methods to produce advanced components.
  • Critical thinking, able to determine appropriate engineering methods, techniques, and procedures for new assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experiences or in-depth understanding optics, electronics and automation would be strong plus.
