About The Position

Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing technologies tailored to both newly launched and established Schaeffler products. Drive cross-functional initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes emphasizing quality, efficiency, sustainability, and robustness, leveraging advanced statistical tools and data analytics for informed decision-making. Conduct comprehensive process investigations to fine-tune equipment and production setups, considering the intricate interactions between product specifications, materials, tooling, and manufacturing locations. Evaluate new technology deployments by thoroughly assessing product design and material feasibility, cycle time impacts, tooling requirements, and overall quality implications to ensure successful integration into production lines. Collaborate closely with production teams to proactively identify and resolve manufacturing challenges, using data-driven troubleshooting approaches and continuous monitoring of production parameters. Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing process documentation, including equipment and technology release protocols, setup instructions, and standard operating procedures that comply with internal and external standards. Ensure adherence to globally defined manufacturing technology standards, best practices, and regional norms to maintain consistency and regulatory compliance across operations. Negotiate specifications, timelines, and investments with suppliers from Schaeffler’s approved vendor portfolio, outlining validation criteria and overseeing qualification and commissioning of production equipment, technologies, and tooling. Foster effective collaboration with internal manufacturing technology groups at the divisional, business unit, and regional levels, as well as with central functions such as Purchasing, IT, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to align strategies and leverage shared expertise. Participate actively in manufacturing technology networks within Schaeffler, promoting technology transfer, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in manufacturing technology, process engineering, or production optimization within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in utilizing statistical methods and digital tools for process analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization in a production setting.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and technology standards along with a solid understanding of product lifecycle and production workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, quality, production, and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
  • External applicants must have valid authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship or employment-based immigration assistance.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
