About The Position

Biogen is seeking a qualified candidate for the role within the Medical Device and Packaging department. The position will be responsible for leading Product Platform, New Technically and/or Large-Scale Device projects and/or initiatives. This person will also be responsible to provide project leadership, with patient centric focus, aligned to the drug pipeline, as well as execute deliverables with internal stakeholders and external partners for Biogen for all the device and packaging products,

Requirements

8+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, software or medical device design and process development
Experience of leading technical team and cross-functional project team
Deep understanding of new product introduction, design and develo

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Neuroscience and/or Intrathecal delivery systems helpful.

Responsibilities

Report to Principal Engineer, Human Factors, Risk Management and Project Management team lead
Work within device and packaging development team and relevant cross functional groups in creating innovative solutions aligned to the drug pipeline
Create mechanical/electromechanical concepts for user unmet needs
Evaluate external device landscape for innovative and implementable solutions
Optimize design for usability, design robustness and manufacturability
Test systems for feasibility and design verification
Work with internal manufacturing sites for process development, and assist manufacturing issue resolution
Liaise with third parties such as contract design and manufacturing companies, Human Factor, testing lab etc.
Work and manage key interfaces and line functions in manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory to progress device and process development deliverables
Lead technical team and/or cross-functional project team
