About The Position

As a Sr Engineer I, Instrument & Analyzer, you will be at the forefront of technology, working hands-on with advanced analyzer and instrumentation systems that help ensure our refineries runs smoothly and efficiently. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 3 or more years of engineering experience directly related to instrumentation or analyzer systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of experience in the oil and gas or chemicals industry with emphasis on analyzers and/or instrumentation
  • Experience working with Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) units
  • Experience with CEMS and SCAQMD / EPA Regulations and Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engineering solutions that ensure analyzer, instrumentation, and control systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with standards.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting for complex analyzer and instrumentation issues to improve reliability and support daily operations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and project teams to guide repairs, validate installations, refine processes, and develop test procedures.
  • Analyze equipment and performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support root‑cause investigations.
  • Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation while supporting small to midsize projects.
  • Drive reliability initiatives by addressing obsolescence, evaluating new technologies, and leading pilot programs.
  • Provide training, share technical expertise, and participate in cross‑site or network discussions to support best practices and continuous improvement.
