Position Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer will be part of a team responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining innovative electrical designs. This is a hands-on role, with the individual capable of creative and systematic product development with minimum supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering with 5-7 years of electrical engineering experience required; OR Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design including signal processing, a/d, d/a, power; embedded design in C is a plus
  • Proficient with electrical test equipment; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Familiar with design for test, analyzing information, and reporting results
  • Experience with schematic capture software - Altium preferred
  • Experience with writing Firmware
  • Experience with circuit modelling software such as PSpice or LTSpice
  • Experience with PCB development including schematic, layout, building, debugging and component selection
  • Experience with NRTL safety and EMC testing in accordance with IEC 60601
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter with good time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Experience working in the medical device company is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, development, and debugging of electrical circuits for surgical robotic platforms based on system requirement documents
  • Designs electronics incorporating analog, digital, and microcontroller circuitry
  • Create schematic design and guide suppliers on PCB layout
  • Oversees junior electrical engineers on the team
  • Develops test fixtures and procedures, collaborating with software teams to ensure effectiveness
  • Supports manufacturing, internal testing, and addresses quality issues for external customers
  • Identifies root causes of electrical design field issues and implements corrective plans for timely resolution
  • Ensures compliance with medical industry standards such as IEC60601-1
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
