About The Position

This role is a key leadership and execution position responsible for delivering outcomes aligned with business goals, including support of manufacturing and facility electrical systems. The individual will create and execute a long-range plan for prioritized controls upgrades for facility and manufacturing production equipment, including capital project requests and implementation. The role involves overseeing installation and integration of power distribution systems, providing leadership and technical resources to associates, and ensuring compliance with plant safety regulations. Additionally, the individual will act as a liaison with other departments, manage systems for maintaining PLC backup files, and develop automation technology to improve productivity KPIs.

Requirements

  • Experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and power distribution systems.
  • Ability to manage capital projects and workstreams effectively.
  • Experience in maintaining compliance with safety regulations such as Arc Flash Electrical Safety and LOTO.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and IT systems.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute the long range plan for prioritized controls upgrades for facility and manufacturing production equipment.
  • Execute the Controls & Automation workstreams of capital projects to increase reliability and availability of plant facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee installation and integration of power distribution systems including MCCs and Power Distribution Panels.
  • Provide leadership and serve as a technical resource to associates training in the electrical discipline.
  • Create solutions and provide guidance to maintain compliance with plant safety regulations.
  • Act as liaison and work closely with other departments such as IT for network maintenance and upgrades.
  • Design and manage systems for maintaining PLC backup files and other software related systems.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for PLC and direct programming updates to Allen Bradley PLC ladder programs.
  • Provide leadership through efficient management of resources and effective communication to all stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a robust pipeline of automation technology to improve productivity KPIs.
