About The Position

As a Senior Engineering Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and expertise to engineering teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of technical solutions, and ensure the successful execution of engineering projects. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Freeport, IL location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and success of engineering projects by providing technical guidance and support to the team. Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in test engineering (practical experience working with engineering equipment)
  • 1+ year experience in test methodologies and tools
  • Must be a U.S. Person

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Some experience in test support (electrical, mechanical, and environmental)
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace-Defense market and specifications
  • Be able to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply six sigma procedures.
  • Sound technical judgment and opinions

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
