Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 8 years industry experience with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. If no PE license, must have 10 years as a practicing engineer. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of: Electric utility system protection principles Protection philosophies employed across the company. Demonstrated skills such as: Technical analyses utilizing appropriate computer modeling techniques. Time management, organizational, oral, and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Directing the work of a diverse group of engineers in the absence of the designated manager. Equipment and Applications Laptop, Doble power system simulator, Microsoft Office, ASPEN OneLiner and Line Constants Program, ENOSERV Powerbase and RTS, and AutoCAD software. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment with occasional field work required. Note: Depending on qualifications of applicants, this position may be filled at a lower level than that which is posted such as Senior Engineer- System Protection, Engineer II- System Protection or Engineer I System Protection.
