About The Position

The Sr. Employee Relations Partner (Sr. ERP) serves as a first point of contact for employee relations matters within a centralized ER function. This role provides expert consultation and support to managers, People Business Partners, and employees on a wide range of issues, ensuring consistency, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The Sr. ERP will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture by resolving concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a continuous improvement mindset. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, empathetic, and solution-focused professional who can manage sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge of employment law, and the ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in HR, Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Employee Relations or as an HR Business Partner managing ER cases
  • Proven experience conducting complex workplace investigations and partnering with legal counsel
  • Proficiency in ER/ HR case management systems and MS Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws; California employment law experience strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to draft clear reports and sensitive communications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to established SLAs
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
  • Collaborative and adaptable in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and employees on complex ER matters, including policy, performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner on concerns with Legal, Security, and People Business partners related to workplace violence and reasonable suspicion protocols.
  • Assist managers in delivering coaching to employees, drafting written corrective actions and related performance communications.
  • Lead confidential workplace investigations, prepare detailed reports, and partner with legal counsel and ER leader on recommended actions.
  • Influence and partner with HR and business leaders, contribute to ER policy development, and drive process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within ER system to drive insights, identify compliance gaps and shape continuous process improvement.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to scheduling, reporting, and communication as needed.
  • Mentor ER Partners.
