About The Position

Workday is looking for a highly strategic and experienced Sr. Employee Communications Manager to support our Executive Revenue Leaders. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the internal narrative for our Global Customer Operations (GCO) organization, amplifying executive voices, and ensuring our Revenue teams are inspired, informed, and aligned with Workday's vision and strategic priorities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of GCO Employee Communications, you will partner closely with senior sales leadership and their Strategy Directors to develop and execute high-impact communication strategies that drive understanding, foster a strong sales culture, and celebrate success across our Global Revenue teams Seize this unique opportunity to: Be a Strategic Advisor: Serve as a trusted communications consultant to Executive Revenue Leaders, understanding their priorities, anticipating communication needs, and proactively developing strategies to articulate their vision and goals. Amplify Executive Voice: Ghostwrite compelling internal communications, including speaking remarks, internal organization-wide emails, presentations, and thought leadership pieces that resonate with diverse Revenue audiences. Shape the GCO Narrative: Develop and drive the overarching internal communications strategy for major initiatives, organizational changes, and performance updates, ensuring alignment with Workday's broader corporate narrative. Drive Engagement & Culture: Craft communications that foster a strong sense of community, celebrate achievements, reinforce Workday's values, and drive employee engagement within the GCO organization. Orchestrate Communication Flow: Collaborate closely with Enablement teams to ensure seamless integration of strategic messages with tactical enablement content. Partner with Operations to translate complex data and operational changes into clear, digestible communications. Manage Critical Channels: Advise on and utilize various internal communication channels (e.g., all-teams, internal email, intranet, Slack, video) to deliver messages effectively and measure their impact. Champion Change: Lead change management communication efforts for significant transformations impacting the Global Revenue organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in GCO employee communications, executive communications, or internal corporate communications, preferably within a global, enterprise SaaS company.
  • Proven track record of directly supporting and advising senior executives on their internal communication strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in using AI to develop written content and design compelling presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders at all levels, and champion cross-functional collaboration.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to bring a point of view forward in a nuanced way to influence and guide.
  • Experience with change management principles and communicating key initiatives across multiple internal target audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • A strategic thinker with a practical, hands-on approach and a “make it happen” demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of how SaaS sales functions operate is highly preferred.
  • Experience with internal comms platforms (e.g., LumApps, Staffbase) and video editing tools are a plus.
  • Proficient in visual and slide design using Google Slides
  • A strong understanding of the technology industry and Workday's products and services is preferred.
  • Innovative attitude – always looking for ways to improve how Workday communicates with and engages employees.
