About The Position

The Residential & Robot Charging team owns the full stack of Tesla’s home, multi-family, and humanoid-robot charging products (Universal Mobile Connector, Wall Connector, and the Optimus Charger). We build the software that makes charging safe, fast, low-cost and widely accessible. Our chargers are secure, grid-interactive IoT nodes that must run flawless safety-critical code 24/7, support seamless OTA updates, handle dynamic load management across many units, allow for vehicles to power the home, enable energy billing/reimbursement, integrate with Tesla App, and (soon) charge millions of Optimus robots.

  • Comfortable reading schematics, soldering, and lab debugging (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, CAN tools)
  • Track record of leading cross-functional projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Passion for clean, well-tested code
