Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1 year of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of RF components: capacitors, resistors, inductors, transistors, diodes, ICs.
  • Basic understanding of the Land mobile and wireless communications is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of some MSI programming and troubleshooting tools will be a plus (Radio Central, CPS).
  • Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments.
  • Capable of reading and understanding procedures and/or telecommunication standards is desired.
  • Familiar with oriented subject areas testing for certification is a plus (ESD, Self quieter, Desense, and Signal Propagation range testing)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework as requested by engineering.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic circuits and components (continuity, resistance, and voltage checks) to support root cause analysis.
  • Perform high precision reworks involving soldering of miniaturized electronic components.
  • Build and repair custom cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues.
  • Familiar with electronic circuit schematics, layouts and bill of materials.
  • Basic knowledge of two way radio communication systems.
  • Experience in electronics assembly, inspection, and/or rework.
  • Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, signal generators, signal analyzers, audio analyzers and power meters).
  • Proficient in Windows-based data entry and documentation tools.
  • Detailed-oriented, adaptive, and quality-focused.
