Prime Air is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware and related Avionic systems and architecture for Prime Air Drones. This includes, Avionic compute and Avionics distributed systems hardware. In this role you will be working with our Seattle based team to help to deploy new hardware and Avionics architecture systems for Prime Air Drones. You will work with internal and external vendors to support hardware development, manufacturing and test. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Requirements

Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability
Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
6+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience
6+ years of electrical engineering work experience in Consumer Electronics, Power Electronics, Robotics, Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Communications fields or combination thereof.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Experience collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent
Experience with PCB design and debugging, including microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors
Experience with complex board designs, including high-speed interconnects, high-reliability designs, avionics electronics.
Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools
Experience with integration of systems into aerospace/avionics enclosures · Electronics design/qualification experience with DO-160 environments.
Experience with rapid iteration prototyping and joint hardware/firmware development; partnering with software engineers to bring-up and test new hardware designs.

Responsibilities

Architecture and Hardware Designs, develops, Avionic compute and distributed system hardware (air data probes, lidar, radar, gnss antennas)
Design and test other analog/digital devices components such as navigation hardware, satellite communication, air data probes, DC-DC converts and protection circuitry.
Perform electrical analyses, circuit simulation, components sizing and selection, create electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
Support engineering trades, estimates and interact with suppliers/partners on critical components and develop hardware from concept to mass production.
Support developing hardware and component level requirements/specifications.
Increase the engineering rigor behind designs, verification, and documentation.
Perform prototype hardware and systems in labs.
Perform formal verification testing including DO-160 and DO-254
