About The Position

Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity as an Electrical Engineering Manager. This role involves developing the electrical engineering capability within the organization that specializes in electrical circuits, power and signal handling, cabling, and EMI/EMC for cryogenic systems. You will manage a team of electrical engineers, including hiring, assigning work, monitoring team member performance, writing and delivering performance reviews, mentoring team members, developing training plans, and managing career development. Additionally, you will support the maturation of a growing organization by leading the development of standardized processes and templates and attracting critical talent. Collaboration with program management, technical personnel, functional leadership, and support organizations is essential to drive the successful delivery of highly specialized systems. You will ensure the application of electrical engineering best practices for a wide variety of projects from R&D to Manufacturing, understand the complex interactions between business and technical requirements, and interact with internal and external customers to identify future business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical leadership experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to contractual requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering, research & development, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing personnel.
  • Experience with cryogenic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful teams in a fast-paced environment with often ambiguous requirements.

  • Manage a team of electrical engineers including hiring, assigning work, monitoring performance, writing and delivering performance reviews, mentoring, and developing training plans.
  • Lead the development of standardized processes and templates to support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with program management and technical personnel to ensure successful delivery of specialized systems.
  • Apply electrical engineering best practices across various projects from R&D to Manufacturing.
  • Provide guidance to execution teams and recommendations to program managers regarding project conflicts.
  • Identify future business opportunities through interaction with internal and external customers.
