Raytheon is seeking a motivated 1st shift Senior Electrical Engineer to fill key Maintenance, Repair and Engineering support role within the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) Department, located in Andover MA. This position will support production maintenance needs, as well as support the dimensional metrology laboratory. Candidate must be able to effectively operate in a high tempo operations environment and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing complex activities, often with actions requiring coordination across multiple support areas. What You Will Do The candidate shall work with minimal supervision while maintaining test equipment on the manufacturing floor. Coach and influence lower-level professional peers and technicians regarding troubleshooting best practices and procedures. Design of moderate to significant improvements of systems and test equipment to enhance performance of work area and improve Production up time. Support MTEM customers on the manufacturing floor to maintain accurate records of test equipment within the IndySoft app.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of test station/fixture design or troubleshoot experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Strong familiarity with electronics; RF, Digital or High Power as well as physical and mechanical aspects of interfacing applications.
  • Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies
  • Able to read and interpret schematic drawing in aiding with troubleshooting of test stations and equipment.
  • Able to balance multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Experience with Six Sigma and LEAN 6S principles, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
