We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer I (PE Level) to join our Akron office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in electrical design.
  • An active and good-standing Professional Engineering License is required within the state for which this position is based.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, telephone/data, and other low voltage systems.
  • Required systems and software expertise includes AutoCAD, Revit, power analysis software such as SKM, and lighting photometric calculation software such as Visual.
  • Familiar with a variety of field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and design independently with minimal supervision on projects from the beginning to the end.
  • Ability to manage deadline-driven workload and work on multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare and Federal design skills or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of complex electrical systems across a wide range of building types and markets.
  • Collaborate closely with field staff, general contractors, architects, and other engineers to ensure design integrity and compliance throughout the construction process.
  • Create and evolve system designs from concept to final construction document phase.
  • Perform analyses and apply problem solving techniques in order to develop creative, innovative solutions.
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks and critical thinking.
  • Mentor other engineers within the MEPFT department.
  • Review, understand, and apply local, state and federal codes and standards related to the design and construction of project facilities.
