The position involves applying accepted electrical design standard operating procedures to assigned projects, ensuring that all sections of the projects meet the proposed budget, schedule, and technical objectives, with a particular emphasis on PLC and Industrial Controls. The role includes assisting the Project Manager in various tasks such as developing machine control concepts, writing technical sections of proposals, and presenting project concepts. Additionally, the position requires monitoring project scope changes, detail design, and technical objectives, as well as providing electrical drawing packages and performing electrical design calculations. The candidate will also be responsible for specifying electrical control hardware, utilizing AutoCAD drafting skills, and interfacing electrical components logically. The role includes writing PLC, motion control, and operator interface software, providing technical support to electrical designers, and assisting with system development and installation support. Staying current with technological developments and design practices is also essential, along with additional duties as assigned. Travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
