About The Position

The Sr. EDI Analyst will be the functional and technical lead for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B integrations, supporting both day-to-day operations and the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation program. The Analyst will play a key role in leading EDI integration design, mapping, testing, and cutover activities as part of the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation, ensuring that all trading partner connections (customers, suppliers, 3PLs, and financial institutions) transition seamlessly to the new platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in EDI analysis, mapping, and support, with a strong focus on Supply Chain and Finance transactions.
  • Proven experience leading EDI workstreams in ERP implementation projects — SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of ANSI X12 transaction sets (810, 820, 824, 846, 850, 855, 856, 860, 940, 945, 997).
  • Understanding of EDIFACT transaction sets (ORDERS, ORDRSP, ORDCHG, DESADV, INVOIC, REMADV, INVRPT)
  • Hands-on experience with EDI middleware (SAP CPI, TrueCommerce Foundry, DMEDI/Vantage Point, Cleo, etc.).
  • Experience working with 3PL and retail EDI partners (Rithum OrderStream, Rithum DSCO, ChannelAdvisor Rithum Brands, SPS Commerce Fulfillment, LogicBroker, Radial DropShip Manager).
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards and mapping formats (X12, IDoc, XML, JSON, flat file, EDIFACT).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting transaction failures and performing root cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization for ERP integrations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Leadership mindset with accountability for results, quality, and partner satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of API integrations, REST, and modern B2B communication methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all EDI-related workstreams for the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation, including: Integration design workshops and requirements gathering End-to-end mapping, testing, validation, and cutover execution Partner certification and go-live readiness for all trading partners
  • Collaborate closely with the SAP System Integrator, middleware providers (SAP CPI, TrueCommerce Foundry, DMEDI/Vantage Point, etc.), and business owners to ensure all integrations meet scope, quality, and timeline expectations.
  • Maintain ownership of the EDI integration plan and cutover checklists; support defect resolution and stabilization post go-live.
  • Configure, map, and maintain EDI transaction sets across: Supply Chain: 850, 855, 856, 810, 180, 832, 846, 852, 860, 865, 867, 940, 943, 944, 945, 947 Finance: 820, 823, 824, 829 Transportation: 210, 214, 240
  • Partner with ERP (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or similar) and middleware tools (SAP CPI, TrueCommerce, etc.) to ensure stable, accurate integrations.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot daily EDI transactions to ensure uninterrupted business flow.
  • Lead the onboarding of new trading partners and manage version upgrades or mapping changes for existing partners.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations to align EDI integrations with business needs.
  • Translate business process requirements into technical mapping specifications.
  • Maintain partner setup documentation, mapping guides, and operational runbooks.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all EDI touchpoints during S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation and steady-state operations.
  • Ensure all EDI integrations conform to industry standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT), partner specifications, and internal audit requirements.
  • Implement data validation and exception-handling controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Support internal and external audits (SOX, financial, ITGC) through accurate recordkeeping and traceability.
  • Drive modernization by exploring API-based and event-driven B2B integrations alongside traditional EDI.
  • Identify opportunities to automate monitoring, streamline partner onboarding, and enhance visibility of EDI data flows.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to shape the future B2B integration roadmap post-S/4 go-live.
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the IT Applications organization.
