About The Position

At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Rincon Research Corporation seeks a DSP Engineer to create cutting edge solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. You will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly skilled and motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers in a highly rewarding personal and professional environment. Requirements

  • Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other equivalent field
  • At least 15 years' experience in a signal processing engineering-related discipline
  • Subject matter expert in DSP, including deep knowledge of DSP theory and a track record of successful system development
  • Experience as a project technical lead and/or principle investigator
  • Experience mentoring other engineers and providing technical advice to program management
  • Proficient in C++ and/or Python in LINUX environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

  • Cellular communications, satellite communications, modern modulation schemes, cyclostationary techniques
  • Geolocation, radar signal processing, RF propagation and link budgets, RF system design
  • DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)
  • Experience as technical lead on proposal efforts
  • Current TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Leading the design and implementation of digital signal processing systems for communication signals, radar signals, and other applications.
  • Developing, deploying, maintaining, and testing software-based solutions.
  • Conducting algorithm design, data analysis, hardware control, computational optimization, RF system modeling, field testing, error budget analysis, and operational performance analysis.
  • Writing efficient software and testing with real data.
  • Providing applications to front-line customer facilities.
  • Staying up-to-date with signal processing technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects.
  • Working across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M.
  • Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks.
  • Working unsupervised with minimal direction and self-starting.
