We are seeking a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize advanced baseband and waveform-level signal processing for next-generation context-aware software-defined radios (SDR) and adaptive electronic warfare (EW) systems. This role is central to evolving an existing channel emulator into an active EW platform and delivering TRL-6 Army Software Defined Radio Head (SDRH) architectures supporting wideband, multi-band, and multi-antenna operations. In addition to core SDR and EW responsibilities, this position will support the development of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) emulation capabilities within Fairwinds’ custom-built, FPGA-based RF Propagation Channel Emulator. The DSP Engineer will design and implement signal processing models for LEO satellite communications, including high-Doppler dynamics, rapidly time-varying propagation delay, frequency offset, phase noise, beam handover effects, and space-to-ground multipath conditions. This effort supports validation of LEO waveforms, PNT resilience techniques, and resilient satellite communications in contested environments.
