We're pushing the boundaries of unmanned aerial systems to support the Department of Defense with precision, reliability, and innovation. As a Sr. Drone Robotics Engineer you'll design and refine flight control and payload pointing algorithms for small UAVs (sUAS) that operate in complex environments. You'll work with cutting-edge sensors and embedded systems, helping drones fly smarter and respond faster. If you thrive on solving hard problems and building robust control systems, we want to hear from you.

  • Develop and improve flight control and payload pointing algorithms
  • Analyze drone performance using simulation and data tools
  • Evaluate, improve, and integrate existing algorithms into software code base
  • Integrate data from sensors like cameras, GPS, IMUs, and laser range finders
  • Develop embedded software in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB
  • Work in a Linux-based development environment
  • Strengthen algorithm robustness through simulation and testing
  • Travel to test sites as needed (company vehicle provided)
  • Strong skills in C, C++, embedded systems, and Linux
  • Experience with robotic algorithm development and implementation
  • 5+ years working with complex robotic or UAV systems
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
  • 3+ years developing drone or robotics algorithms (e.g., Kalman filtering)
  • Drone autopilot development or tuning experience
  • Willingness to travel and a clean driving record
  • Work on mission-critical UAV systems for defense applications
  • Collaborate with a team of experts in robotics and aerospace
  • Opportunities to innovate and shape next-gen drone technologies
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Travel opportunities to test sites and field deployments
  • A culture of technical excellence and purpose-driven work
