About The Position

Kiniksa is building the commercial organization to bring to market a portfolio of novel therapeutics for patients with rare diseases. Demonstrating the value we bring to multiple stakeholders and ultimately ensuring patients can quickly access our treatments is paramount to our success. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Channel Strategy & Payer Marketing, we are seeking a strong candidate to lead the execution of oversee and manage daily operations for Trade & Distribution as well as perform strategic analysis supporting strategy development and customer management. The individual in this role will be a key player on the Global Value & Access Team and will be instrumental in establishing operational excellence in the areas of channel strategy execution. Job title and level will be commensurate with successful candidate's background and experience.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (MBA or other advanced degree in business or a related discipline preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an operational, project management and/or analytical role.
  • Experience with direct responsibility for biotech product and channel strategy execution highly favorable.
  • Experience in direct interactions with top US specialty pharmacies and distributors and a track record of success in building strong relationships and achieving access & pricing objectives desired.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to execute detailed project management to external vendors and monitoring of product inventory across the distribution channels.
  • Ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of channel performance, and opportunity and risks for the Executive Team.
  • Contribute strategic thinking, initiative, and creativity with experience in channel and access strategy.
  • Ability to understand all relevant US legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategy development, implementation, and performance monitoring of distribution network.
  • Manage external 3PL vendor relationship.
  • Monitor shipment and inventory trends which will act as leading indicators for product performance.
  • Manage return goods process.
  • Resolve product distribution issues (i.e. damaged vials, undeliverable product, PO discrepancies).
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with all distribution policies (i.e. returns, chargebacks, inventory mgmt., etc).
  • Educate and train the organization on evolving distribution models that may inform payer, channel, or patient services strategy.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Acct Team to execute on strategies to maximize product access with commercial distribution customers.
  • Coordinate QBR process for direct distribution partners and Specialty Distributors; collaborate with Patient Services and Strategic Acct Team to execute QBR process for SPs.
  • In collaboration with Patient Services, manage free goods distribution program inventory.
