About The Position

As a Senior Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) on Capital One's Enterprise Product & Platform organization, you will help us build solid platforms on mobile and web surfaces that will help Capital One customers have incredible experiences. The platforms are the foundational blocks on which Capital One's various lines of businesses (like credit card, retail banking, auto finance) build delightful experiences for our customers. In addition to the technical program, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering).
• MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS.
• 5+ years of building & leading experienced TPM team.
• 5+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.
• 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
• 5+ years experience delivering large and complex programs.
• 3+ years of experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment.

• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle.
• Lead technology-focused discussions with senior leadership.
• Provide valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions.
• Simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives.
• Ensure exceptional cross-team collaboration across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries.
