A little bit about our team: The Corporate Finance Department at WMG is responsible for overseeing all of the financial operations of the Company in partnership with the labels and individual companies within WMG. The department provides financial reporting, accounting, planning, budgeting and financial compliance and auditing for the Company. Your role: The Sr. Director of Tech Corporate Services & JV Finance is the end-to-end owner of the Global Technology budget and the strategic financial lead for the WMG/Bain Capital Joint Venture. This role demands a high level of financial leadership, ensuring that the monthly close and forecasting processes provide accurate and actionable visibility. You will act as a strategic partner to the Global Head of Tech, delivering the financial insights necessary to act on risks with sufficient lead time, while leading both internal executive and external reporting for the Joint Venture. Here you’ll get to: Finance Operations Strategic Budget Ownership: Fully own the annual budget and monthly forecasting process, identifying risks early and driving solutions to ensure financial targets are met. Process Efficiency: Continuously improve the monthly close and reporting process, reducing manual tasks and improve financial accuracy. Unified Multi-View Visibility: Deliver accurate summaries of spend vs. budget, prior year, and run-rate, to provide leadership with actionable financial insights. Strategic Partnering & Cost Management: Provide financial guidance on vendor selection and business cases, including cost-benefit analysis for project investments and accounting/budgetary impact comparisons to align with long-term P&L goals. Standardized Allocation: Build capabilities within the enterprise system to group and properly allocate software and shared technology costs globally. Global Alignment: Align technology-related spend across the global business to ensure a single, consistent process for tracking and managing Standardize & Mentor: Partner with the full Corporate Finance team to drive the standardization of reporting and processes, elevating overall accuracy, efficiency, and financial integrity across the organization JV Governance & Oversight Operational Oversight: Provide high-level governance for the JV finance function, reviewing work to ensure all activity is clean, organized, and in full compliance with accounting standards. Process Architecture: Lead the creation of robust, repeatable processes within the global company framework to move the JV function to a steady-state, organized operation. Fund & Management Reporting: Oversee the delivery of high-level management reporting, internal executive summaries, and external investor reporting, including capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations. About you: Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting, with mandatory experience in Global Tech financial support. Technical Savvy: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and complex management reporting, paired with a robust change management skillset. Analytical Rigor: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to perform complex analysis and prepare clean presentation materials for senior leadership and investors. Communication: Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with senior leadership, third-party valuation firms, and external auditors. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred. Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting, with mandatory experience in Global Tech financial support.
