About The Position

The Senior Director of Tax & Treasury is a key financial leadership position responsible for overseeing the organization's global tax strategy, tax operations, and treasury activities. This position ensures compliance with all tax regulations, optimizes the company's tax positions, improves the company's capital structure, and supports strategic growth initiatives. Working closely with executive leadership, the Senior Director develops and implements policies that minimize tax liabilities, safeguard financial assets, and ensure efficient funding for business operations and investments. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic foresight, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, complex business environment.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience required.
  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting.
  • Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA is highly preferred.
  • Ten (10) years in a leadership role required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of global tax regulations, transfer pricing, and treasury operations.
  • Private equity experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of treasury and cash management highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate strategically and tactically in a dynamic, fast-paced global business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company's tax position across domestic and international operations.
  • Advise senior management on tax implications of key business decisions, including acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions.
  • Identify and secure tax incentives and credits applicable to the company's activities.
  • Oversee tax accounting and reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards (E.g. ASC 740 for US GAAP and IAS 12 for IFRS).
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax returns (E.g. corporate income tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing).
  • Manage and maintain the company's tax governance and risk management framework.
  • Represent the company during tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Manage and negotiate with tax authorities and external advisors to resolve tax controversies.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the relevant updates and their implications to senior management.
  • Develop and execute global cash management and liquidity strategies to optimize working capital and minimize cost of capital.
  • Oversee global banking relationships, cash pooling, FX risk, and debt management.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the tax and treasury departments, fostering a collaborative and high-performing teams.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A Legal, and local finance teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
