About The Position

The Senior Director of Pricing and Purchasing at McKesson is a leadership role responsible for managing manufacturer relationships, designing and implementing pricing strategies, and developing a team to execute channel strategies. Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience, typically requires 13+ years of professional experience.
  • 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills.
  • Experience in generics and pharmaceutical purchasing.
  • 6+ years pricing experience in the secondary market.
  • Solid understanding of primary and secondary wholesaler distributors.
  • People-savvy collaborator with confidence to manage stakeholders and influence executive-level audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct pricing and purchasing team to deliver against BU strategy and financial targets.
  • Evaluate trends in pricing and channel GP capture to maximize profitability across sales channels.
  • Assess campaigns for effectiveness and provide guidance to maximize outcomes.
  • Evaluate competitive intelligence and product performance to optimize margin capture.
  • Work with Generics Analytics and other partners to develop and execute dynamic pricing models.
  • Implement inventory allocation logic for best-in-class customer experience.
  • Serve as accountable leader for resuming direct sourcing with supplier partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong industry relationships with Manufacturers.
  • Attend industry functions to meet with business partners.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise to execute strategic priorities.
  • Develop, coach, and manage team for continuous growth and professional development.
