The position involves developing and executing manufacturing strategy delivering on committed financial performance and customer service for the Columbus West facility. It includes coordinating plant operational activities to ensure safety, high product quality standards, and production schedules are met while managing costs. The role also emphasizes compliance with quality systems and safety regulations, influencing positive change, and the professional development of operational leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, industrial management or relevant field required.
  • Minimum ten years' experience delivering results for a large business (400+ associates).
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role, including leading multiple layers of management.
  • Proven track record of managing a business or sub-unit of a very large business.
  • Strong record of selecting and developing very competent professional staff.
  • Kaizen and/or lean experience.
  • Track record of delivering positive bottom-line results.
  • Strong practical work experience (8+ years) in medical device, food or drug industries preferred.
  • Proven record of implementing and operating within data-driven management systems.

  • Master's degree in science, engineering or relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and visionary concepts for development of strategies for the site that support business and operations goals and objectives with a zero-loss mindset.
  • Foster and maintain a culture that prioritizes associate safety and create systems to drive continuous improvements in this area.
  • Develop an environment that influences and encourages associate empowerment, development, involvement, and commitment.
  • Manage plant leadership team and provide coaching and management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and standards.
  • Coordinate compliance programs to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all buildings, facilities, and equipment.
  • Promote and maintain awareness and compliance of Environment Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Direct the establishment of yearly budgets and goals for all activities within each department.
  • Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the Columbus West plant activity.
  • Represent Columbus West plant in all legal, tax, and regulatory affairs.
  • Develop and implement action plans to build and maintain the plant and BD image within the community.
  • Work closely with WW Supply Chain organizations for establishing and meeting production capacity objectives.
  • Ensure that capacity ramp-up plans and product/technology projects are performed on time.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of the products manufactured at Columbus West Plant.
