The Senior Director of Sales Strategy is responsible for the processes, tools, and technologies that support the Sales and Marketing teams of the company. You will provide guidance regarding market trends, develop resources, and track long term sales data.

  • Commercial Strategy & Planning
  • Define the commercial operating model that supports national retail expansion, rapid C-store growth, and strengthening of AFH penetration.
  • Develop customer-, retailer-, and distributor-specific strategies that reinforce Monarca’s position as the leader in pork rinds, better-for-you, and Hispanic-inspired snacks.
  • Sales Operations & Process Excellence
  • Build and optimize sales processes, tools, and systems that support execution across all channels.
  • Strengthen forecasting accuracy, pipeline visibility, and operator/retailer engagement routines.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to implement scalable, repeatable processes as Monarca grows with major Retailers, C-stores, Dollar, and Foodservice distributors/operators.
  • Trade Strategy & Revenue Management
  • Collaborate with Finance on pricing architecture, pack strategy, promotional planning, and margin improvement.
  • Partner with Finance on post-event analytics and recommend adjustments grounded in ROI, velocity improvement, and distribution expansion.
  • Business Insights & Performance Analytics
  • Build dashboards, reporting suites, and insights tools tailored to the unique needs of Retail, C-store, Dollar, and AFH performance tracking.
  • Turn syndicated data, shipment trends, and distributor/operator metrics into clear, actionable insights for customer planning.
  • Lead cross-functional performance reviews that highlight opportunities to accelerate distribution, strengthen velocity, and grow household penetration.
  • Go-to-Market Enablement
  • Equip the sales team with channel-specific selling materials, playbooks, and strategic customer storylines.
  • Partner with Marketing and Category to craft compelling pitches that highlight Monarca’s flavor leadership, brand positioning, and category advantages.
  • Ensure organizational readiness for innovation launches, seasonal windows, resets, and major customer activation cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Demand Planning to align commercial goals and execution across all channels.
  • Serve as a key strategic advisor to Monarca’s executive team, contributing to pricing decisions, customer investment strategies, and long-range planning.
  • Organize, Lead, and Facilitate monthly and quarterly Function and LT Meetings, supporting stakeholders from various departments to ensure alignment on objectives, key initiatives, project statuses, and general agenda.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and mentor a high-performing Sales Strategy & Operations team.
  • Foster a culture of analytical rigor, transparency, agility, and continuous improvement in line with Monarca’s entrepreneurial spirit.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Sales Strategy, Revenue Management, Commercial Operations, or Category Leadership within CPG (snacks, salty snacks, or related strongly preferred).
  • Experience supporting or leading commercial work across Retail, Convenience, and/or Away From Home sales channels.
  • Proven track record building commercial strategies, tools, and operating models in high-growth or emerging brands.
  • Deep expertise in analytics, forecasting, trade spend management, and process optimization.
  • Strong executive communication skills and the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • High proficiency with CRM, trade systems, data visualization, and advanced analytics.
  • Demonstrated success developing, coaching, and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Must be based in Dallas, TX, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.
