About The Position

TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. It builds more than just networks; it connects communities to new valuable digital opportunities. TAK offers comprehensive service solutions, from construction to drops to fulfillment. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians. We are seeking a Sr Director of Operations to join our team. In this role you will provide enterprise-level leadership for fulfillment and operational execution across multiple TAK markets. This role is responsible for setting strategic direction, driving operational excellence, and ensuring consistent performance, safety, and financial results at scale. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Sr. Director partners cross-functionally to align operations with company goals, develop future leaders, and optimize processes, technology, and resources to support long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience, including leading leaders and managing multi-market or large-scale operations
  • 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, cable, broadband, or infrastructure construction strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Proven ability to drive operational strategy, financial performance, and KPI accountability at scale
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of broadband infrastructure construction, deployment, and operational best practices
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools
  • Proven ability to manage complex, concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for the planning, execution, and completion of residential drop bury and MDU projects across multiple markets, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Set and execute regional or multi-market operational strategy aligned with company objectives and growth initiatives
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable multiple Directors, Market Managers, and senior leaders, ensuring strong leadership pipelines and succession planning
  • Establish and drive operational standards, best practices, and consistency across all assigned markets
  • Own performance outcomes across financials, productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and safety metrics
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Safety, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage operating budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Champion a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and high performance across all levels of the organization
  • Serve as an executive point of contact for key clients, vendors, and strategic partners, supporting contract performance and long-term relationships
  • Oversee compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring risk mitigation and operational integrity
  • Identify and implement advanced technologies, systems, and methodologies to scale operations and improve performance
  • Lead change management initiatives related to growth, market expansion, organizational design, and operational transformation
