Full-time • Director
Dallas, TX

The Senior Director of IT is the company's top technology leader today and the clear succession path to CIO as we scale. This role blends IT strategy, systems integration, infrastructure leadership, cybersecurity, data governance, and vendor/MSP management within a highly acquisitive, multi-site services platform. You will build and lead the IT function from a lean starting point, unify 20+ acquired environments into a coherent enterprise platform, and own the technology roadmap that supports aggressive M&A, organic growth, and operational discipline. You'll partner directly with the CEO, COO, and executive team on priorities, investments, and execution. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving environment. If you're looking for a steady maintenance position, this won't be a fit. If you want to architect and own the technology backbone of a national services business—and step into a future CIO seat—read on.

  • Consolidate and rationalize acquired systems into the core stack, including:
  • IndySoft (calibration system)
  • NetSuite
  • Salesforce Field Service / Service Cloud (as applicable)
  • HubSpot
  • BigQuery / Tableau
  • Celigo (integration layer)
  • Standardize configurations, data models, and workflows across business units.
  • Onboard acquisitions quickly and securely, minimizing disruption to operations. Multi-Site Infrastructure & IT Operations
  • Own IT operations across 30+ physical labs, corporate locations, and remote employees.
  • Architect and maintain networks, connectivity, Wi-Fi, endpoints, and local infrastructure to enable frictionless work for technicians and office teams.
  • Implement identity and access management, device standards, workstation builds, and endpoint management across the enterprise.
  • Establish business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities appropriate for a national services provider.
  • Set and enforce SLAs for uptime, incident response, and change management.
  • Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk
  • Design and govern a cybersecurity program across endpoints, cloud, email, networks, and core applications.
  • Align controls with practical frameworks such as NIST, SOC-type standards, and ISO/IEC 17025 in partnership with Quality.
  • Oversee tools and practices including EDR/MDR, email security, vulnerability management, immutable backups, and security awareness training.
  • Own incident response planning, tabletop testing, remediation, and post-incident review.
  • Ensure customer data, calibration records, and certificates remain protected and audit-ready.
  • Data Governance, Analytics & “Single Source of Truth”
  • Define and enforce enterprise data standards across IndySoft, NetSuite, HubSpot, and other systems.
  • Establish master data management (MDM) for customers, equipment/assets, locations, and financial entities.
  • Own architecture and governance for BigQuery and downstream reporting (Tableau), enabling consistent KPIs and dashboards.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure data is trusted, usable, and maintained.
  • Explore and implement AI-enabled approaches to data cleansing and quality improvement where valuable.
  • MSP & Vendor Management
  • Lead relationships with Managed Service Provider(s) delivering helpdesk, infrastructure support, and security tooling.
  • Define SLAs, KPIs, and escalation paths; hold vendors accountable for performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Drive a deliberate insourcing strategy over time (especially device management), while maintaining service continuity.
  • Rationalize overlapping vendor contracts and licenses to reduce spend and complexity.
  • Evaluate and select new technology partners as needed, negotiating commercial terms and ensuring integration into the stack.
  • Team Building & Operating Model
  • Build a small, high-caliber internal IT team focused on architecture, integration, governance, and vendor management—not ticket taking.
  • Create an IT operating model that balances enterprise standards with effective local support.
  • Develop repeatable playbooks, documentation, and training for IT staff and end users.
  • Coach and grow talent so the function scales with the business.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years at Director/Senior Director (or equivalent) level.

  • Experience designing or overseeing hybrid cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS), O365, identity, and VPN/access models.
  • Ability to understand user requirements, translate them into integration strategy, and drive execution through internal and external teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of guiding non-technical executives through trade-offs and decisions.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, imperfect, acquisitive environment where priorities shift and speed matters.
  • Experience in multi-site industrial services, lab environments, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operationally complex businesses.
  • Familiarity with one or more of: IndySoft, NetSuite, HubSpot, Celigo, Salesforce Field Service/Service Cloud, BigQuery, Tableau.
  • Prior leadership in a private-equity-backed platform or M&A roll-up business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA/MS helpful but not required.
