About The Position

This senior finance leadership role involves complete financial ownership of a global manufacturing organization. The Sr. Director of Finance leads accounting, FP&A, and financial performance, acting as a strategic business partner to both site and corporate leadership. The role includes owning the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, while driving financial discipline, operational insight, and long-term planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance or accounting leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting practices.
  • Hands-on proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification.
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives such as new product development, pricing strategy, or market expansion.
  • Prior experience working in a global, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for a manufacturing or industrial business, ensuring accountability for results.
  • Lead accounting operations, including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry review, intercompany transactions, and audit readiness.
  • Provide deep expertise in manufacturing or industrial environments, particularly in inventory accounting, product costing, and operational finance.
  • Oversee FP&A processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and cash flow projections.
  • Develop strong financial modeling and scenario analysis skills to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive pricing decisions, cost improvement initiatives, and organic growth.
  • Present financial results and insights clearly to senior leadership and board-level audiences.
  • Demonstrate people leadership experience, including coaching and developing a finance team with a continuous improvement mindset.
