The Sr. Director of Construction is responsible for the strategic planning and leadership of the Market operations to ensure revenue targets are achieved. In addition, you will: Develop and lead a culture of operational excellence in areas of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction Develop operational goals in connection with the overall Company goals to ensure targets are successfully achieved Accountable for the profit and loss performance in the achievement of the Company's financial and revenue goals Responsible for establishing and maintaining customer relationships to drive growth and continued success in the Market Responsible for all operations, including optimizing activities for the project management team for the Market Provide direction and support for the Program Managers and/or Project Managers in the development and scheduling of training programs and performance objectives Execute the directives and communicate directly with the Senior Leadership team Responsible for directing all back-office functions for the market, including project controls, data integrity, warehouse inventory management, and project closeouts Responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, including attracting, retaining, and developing talent within the Market Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management or related field
  • 10+ years of directly related leadership experience with a construction background; general contractor experience, preferred
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, fulfilling staffing requirements, training, and safety compliance.
  • Previous site management experience, as well as experience in maintaining a good relationship with the client and suppliers
  • Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction in an industrial setting
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and maps
  • Responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve partnership
  • Ability to develop and produce structural modification drawings and be accurate and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in computer software programs, including the Microsoft Office suites
  • Excellent communication skills, speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; demonstrates group presentation skills
  • Excellent time and organizational management skills; plans work activities, sets goals and objectives; develops realistic action plans
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; keeps commitments
