About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Director for MGA Technology Services to bridge the gap between operational excellence and business development, utilizing your deep expertise in P&C and Workers' Compensation to expand our market footprint. A strategic leader to provide operational leadership for the MIS Service Delivery Unit, ensuring the effective execution of departmental strategy and the delivery of high-quality technology services to clients. In this pivotal role, you will manage the MGA segment’s sub-P&L within Technology Services, driving growth, operational excellence, and the development of innovative service offerings. You will also play a key part in business development by identifying new opportunities, contributing to sales pursuits, and expanding revenue within existing client accounts.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field is required.
  • Industry Experience: 10-15+ years of experience in P&C insurance, including workers' comp.
  • Leadership Experience: 10-15+ years of experience leading a business unit with full P&L responsibility within the insurance industry.
  • Sales Experience: Significant client relationship management and/or sales experience is required.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive expertise in Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation insurance, including coverage, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows.
  • Communication: Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to present complex information and guide clients through decision-making.
  • Client Orientation: Strong client leadership with a commitment to understanding client needs and fostering trusted partner relationships.
  • Business Development: A proven track record of influencing stakeholders and successfully closing opportunities to expand client relationships.
  • Change Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change, including the adoption of new processes and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Client Success
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain trusted partner relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their objectives, operating environments, and business needs.
  • Drive Strategy: Lead regular strategic meetings with client partners and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and future opportunities.
  • Ensure Satisfaction: Proactively manage the overall client relationship, working closely with MIS teams to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure service standards are met.
  • Manage Sales Lifecycle: Oversee the sales lifecycle within assigned accounts to drive successful expansions and renewals.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy & Business Development
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for MGA Technology Services aligned with broader revenue and growth objectives.
  • Prospecting: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted outreach, industry association participation, and trade shows.
  • Pipeline Management: Establish a disciplined prospecting cadence to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of contract terms, partnering with Legal and Business Development to ensure agreements align with business goals.
  • Operations & Financial Oversight
  • P&L Ownership: Own the sub-P&L, ensuring revenue, margin, and financial performance targets are achieved or exceeded.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee end-to-end operations to ensure delivery excellence, scalability, and the achievement of strategic growth goals.
  • Resource Planning: Align resource planning with sales forecasts using a 12-month rolling demand forecast to ensure appropriate staffing and capacity management.
  • Pricing Strategy: Lead pricing strategy development for new opportunities to ensure proposals are competitive and financially viable.
