Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA highly desirable from a top-tier university
  • 12+ years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing complex M&A transactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and financial acumen
  • Ability to develop trust-based relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative skills
  • Self-starter with comfort in ambiguity and proactive approach
  • Persuasive communication skills tailored to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

  • Partner with EVP, Chief Strategy Officer to develop and execute the overall M&A strategy for Mattel
  • Develop and monitor pipeline of potential M&A and partnership opportunities
  • Translate corporate and business strategy into M&A strategy and identify potential acquisition opportunities
  • Lead the evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities of $100M to $1B+
  • Conduct due diligence, develop business cases, and build detailed financial models
  • Ensure M&A excellence across the deal cycle, including strategy, sourcing, execution, and post-merger integration
