About The Position

This position leads the internal sales strategy by partnering with Sales Leadership to align on corporate priorities to drive intended results of the Protection & Retirement Division. This individual will ensure that the team executes at the highest level to effectively grow the sales organization and ensure financial strength and sales team efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • State Life Insurance License
  • Currently registered with Finra Series 6, 63 and 26 or required within first 12 month of employment.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position requiring strategy development.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to successfully oversee teams and projects.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operational capabilities that enhance capabilities and increase productivity.
  • Experience in delivery of services with a focus on improved employee experience
  • Experience leading in a multiple sales channels with proven ability drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate changing needs and set priorities, often when facing ambiguity.
  • Must have a strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop staff including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to adjust communication based on the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the Life, Annuity & Direct Internal Sales Teams Duties include organization and job design, recruiting, training, employee engagement, performance management and employee development.
  • Develops the strategic vision for the Internal Sales organization to maximize sales within our Protection & Retirement Distribution Channels
  • Leads all Internal Sales Teams to support all sales channels; fosters a positive and competitive sales culture.
  • Hires, develops, and evaluates staff effectively to include leading a team committed to excellent sales development and support.
  • Develops and monitors sales metrics related to service levels, capacity and cost-effectiveness to senior leadership and adjusts based on environment in a seamless way.
  • Responsible for budget and controls expenses efficiently
  • Strong ability to collaborate between Senior executives that align top line initiatives with channel priorities allowing individual contributors influence growth in their specific role.
  • Drives a learning and development program that cultivates sales skills and outlines a career path for long term career progression for numerous departments within distribution.
  • Ensure responsive, quality service to customers, Financial Advisors, External Wholesalers, and Account Managers.
  • Works with national accounts department to ensure proactive sales efforts are aligned with account programs.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication within and outside of the Sales Desk.
  • Plan, forecast and manage resources and budgets.
  • Provides coaching and development of Internal Sales Leadership Team.
