About The Position

The Sr. Director of Imaging Services is responsible for directing, planning, and organizing imaging resources across multiple sites. This role involves developing, communicating, and building consensus for goals and programs that support the business or region, while maintaining patient experience and employee engagement. The director prepares and analyzes budgets and directs resources to meet financial goals, manages team members and management staff, and recommends and implements appropriate policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
  • All licensures and certifications needed.
  • 8-12 years of experience in healthcare and/or imaging services.
  • 7+ years of leadership/management experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads Imaging modality operations in multiple sites by communicating with and developing staff members and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function, or geographic area.
  • Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility by applying standardized processes across all departments and locations.
  • Plans, directs, and evaluates all the technical aspects of modality's services and programs across sites.
  • Meets with vendors and manages relationships, gathering information needed to perform equipment evaluation for potential purchases.
  • Performs continuous monitoring of the quality of the service given by the vendors who have service warranties and contracts with the sites.
  • Reviews the demand for services and evaluates/assesses the potential expansion of imaging modality services.
  • Prepares budget and makes recommendations to Leadership based on area-specific needs and growth objectives.
  • Oversees coordination of in-service and continuing education programs for staff to ensure technical quality of films and quality patient care is rendered.
  • Plans and organizes space requirements and obtains architectural drawings for projects.
  • Sets timetable for projects and prepares staff for changes in scheduling or triage of radiology procedures prior to construction.
  • Resolves problems requiring administrative authority or professional knowledge and outlines policies, procedures, and methods for resolving lesser problems with staff.
  • Informs supervisory staff of proper Hospital procedure when dealing with different departmental and personnel issues.
  • Develops and implements strategic plans, drives departmental family goals and objectives, and improves performance across multiple sites or larger portfolios.
  • Responsible for directing staff appropriately for department(s) and collaborating with HR to fulfill requirements.
  • Maintains and models organizational values.
  • Performs related duties as required.
