About The Position

This person will report to the Vice President of IMX. The Sr Director I, Owned Platforms and Data Integration , is a transformational leader responsible for architecting and operationalizing the future of owned digital platforms and data connectivity across the North America Operating Unit (NAOU) Marketing organization. This role drives the integration of content, commerce, and consumer data to enable personalized experiences, performance optimization, and seamless collaboration across marketing, customer, and technology teams. The Sr Director leads a high-performing team and partners across functions to deliver enterprise-aligned solutions at scale, ensuring our owned platforms and data capabilities become key engines for growth and innovation in marketing. Key focus areas include: Team Leadership, Enterprise Capability Building, Data Strategy and Implementation, Data Privacy & Governance, MarTech Integration and Owned (1PD) Identity Strategy.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required; MBA or other graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital marketing, platform strategy, or data integration, with a proven track record of driving large-scale transformation initiatives and delivering results. Experience in developing and executing data or platform strategies at scale, ideally within a complex, matrixed organization or Fortune 500 context.
  • Digital & Data Expertise: Deep expertise in owned media platforms (web and mobile), CRM and loyalty programs, marketing technology (MarTech) tools, and data architecture. Familiarity with enterprise-level data and platform ecosystems (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Adobe Experience Cloud) and integrating these technologies to enhance marketing capabilities is highly desirable.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience navigating complex organizational structures and driving cross-functional alignment to achieve shared goals. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical teams to ensure everyone works toward a common vision. Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leadership across marketing, IT, and other business functions.
  • Consumer Data & Marketing Acumen: Strong understanding of consumer data practices, personalization strategies, and performance marketing analytics. Able to leverage data-driven insights to shape marketing strategy, optimize consumer journeys, and improve campaign performance. Up-to-date on industry trends around data privacy, digital consumer behavior, and emerging marketing technologies, and how they can be applied to create competitive advantage.
  • Leadership: Inspirational leader with a bias for action, strong systems-thinking skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional consumer experiences. Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams, foster innovation, and instill a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement. Proven talent development skills, including coaching team members and leading through change. Responsibilities

  • Platform Strategy & Ownership : Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for our owned digital platforms (e.g., brand websites, loyalty programs, CRM systems, mobile apps), ensuring they serve as scalable engines for consumer engagement, first-party data capture, and compelling brand storytelling. Partner with CHX, Creative, and Tech teams to continuously evolve platform capabilities in line with business priorities and consumer expectations.
  • Data Integration & Activation: Drive the integration of first-party data across platforms, systems, and touchpoints to create unified consumer profiles and actionable data flows. Collaborate with MarTech, Data Science, and Commercial teams to enable advanced audience segmentation and real-time personalization in marketing initiatives. Champion the use of connected identity and micro-segmentation techniques to fuel precision marketing and maximize campaign relevance.
  • System Transformation & Enablement: Lead the transformation of workflows and systems to support agile content delivery, data-driven decision-making, and seamless cross-channel orchestration. Embed AI and automation into platform operations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness in delivering consumer experiences. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and deploy new tools that accelerate speed-to-market while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the connective tissue between key groups – including CHX, Frontline Marketing (FLM), Commercial, and Technology – to ensure alignment on platform capabilities, data governance, and measurement frameworks. Facilitate ways of working that promote transparency, rapid iteration, and shared accountability across these teams as we develop and launch platform and data initiatives. Act as a bridge between marketing strategy and technical execution, ensuring cross-functional efforts are synchronized and mutually reinforcing.
  • Governance & Compliance: Establish robust governance frameworks for data privacy, platform integrity, and content compliance. Partner with Legal, Security, and Data governance teams to ensure responsible data usage and strict adherence to regulatory standards across all owned platform activities. Oversee data quality and platform compliance, implementing policies and controls that protect consumer information and uphold brand trust.
  • Measurement & Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks for platform performance, data utilization, and consumer engagement. Leverage analytics and dashboards to monitor results and gain insights, informing strategy adjustments and continuous optimization of the consumer experience. Use data-driven learnings to demonstrate business impact and guide future enhancements, ensuring that our owned platforms and data efforts tangibly contribute to marketing ROI and consumer lifetime value.
  • Talent Leadership & Capability Building: Build and lead a high-performing team of platform strategists, data integrators, and experience designers. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team. Provide mentorship and strategic direction to develop the organization’s capabilities in owned media and data fluency, and to nurture the next generation of digital platform and data leaders. Champion talent development initiatives, encouraging your team to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in digital marketing.
