As the Sr. Director, HR Shared Services, you will play a crucial role in establishing and managing the HR Shared Services team within nVent. This is a global team that will be formed. It will begin with Payroll in Europe, the U.S. and Canada, HR Operations, HR Technology and People Analytics. The Sr. Director, HR Shared Services will directly report to the Chief Human Resources Officer and be a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team. This person will establish the roadmap for this transformative organization. This role will require strong collaboration with HR Business Partners and the entire HR team, as well as key partners to create and implement strategies that ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality HR services, supports global workforce needs, and foster operational efficiency through innovative solutions and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven background in HR operations, service delivery, and cross-cultural leadership. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Design, implement, and manage global HR shared services strategies, policies, and processes to support strategic objectives while enabling self-service. Lead and inspire a diverse, multinational team to deliver employee services, payroll, People analytics, and compliance activities efficiently and accurately. Serve as the main point of contact for HR service delivery across regions, ensuring a seamless employee experience and alignment with local regulations. Lead and manage payroll operations (with a transformational, innovative perspective) across multiple countries ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulations, filings, and reporting. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, using technology and standard processes to enhance service quality, automation, and cost effectiveness. Collaborate with HR business partners and HR COE’s, IT, finance, and other stakeholders to identify needs, resolve issues, and implement solutions with end-to-end thinking. Monitor key performance indicators and service level agreements (SLAs), reporting on HR shared services effectiveness and making data-driven recommendations while ensuring data quality and integrity. As an Employee data owner, report on metrics and outcomes that ensure the accuracy and timeliness of basic employee data and standards are established, fostered, and remain in compliance. Maintain compliance with global labor laws, data privacy regulations, and company policies in all regions. Champion organizational change and communication strategies to support HR transformation and new service rollouts. Manage the budget and resources for the global HR shared services organization. YOU HAVE: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. 12+ years of progressive HR experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing HR shared services or operations across multiple countries. Strong leadership, collaboration and influence skills across all levels with proven stakeholder management. Demonstrated service design approach and expertise in HR end-to-end process design, scalable service delivery models, and global compliance. A proven track record with experience in HR leadership roles focused on HR Technology, HR Operations, and/or Transformation. In-depth knowledge of HR technology platforms (including Workday) and using best practices and process automation. Demonstrated experience driving operational excellence and managing complex change initiatives. Proven capability as a change leader, with a solid ability to lead and successfully operate in a highly matrix environment. Ability to advise, with excellent communication, and influence effectively in various settings and audiences globally. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced global environment and to balance multiple accountabilities making connections across systems and processes. Demonstrated developer of people, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a high-performing team. Fluency in English required; additional languages and multicultural experience desirable. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $204,400.00 - $304,000.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
