WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU The US Customer & Channels Group was formed in 2024 with the vision to bring channel expertise to our Primary Care brands leading to portfolio level strategy planning, efficient use of resources, building year-round operational engine, and further advancing our relationships with customers. The Health System, Urgent Care, and Long-Term Care Channel (HULC) team resides under the US Primary Care Customer & Channel Group. It seeks to drive coordination and maximize opportunity across the Primary Care franchise through holistic channel strategy across Health System, Long-Term Care, and Urgent Care channels to meet the needs of our customers and our portfolio priorities. The team covers the full Primary Care franchise including - Vaccines, Antiviral & Diagnostics, Migraine, and Internal Medicine. The US health system landscape has been and continues to evolve rapidly. Consolidation and vertical integration among Leading Health Systems highlight the importance of integrated care delivery and population health in a progressively challenging market. As a result, Leading Health Systems are increasingly seeking greater coordination and innovative approaches. The long‑term care industry plays a vital role in supporting the health, dignity, and quality of life of aging adults and individuals with chronic needs, ensuring they receive compassionate, continuous care when it matters most. Since its inception, the team has built a comprehensive go‑to‑market strategy for the long‑term care sector from the ground up, driving measurable improvements in patient care and increasing vaccination rates, with continued work underway to accelerate this momentum for the Primary Care portfolio. The Sr. Director, Health System, UC, LTC Channels Lead Secondment reports directly to the VP, Customer & Channel Group Lead . The role is responsible for leading and developing 6 high performing colleagues. Given the criticality of the HULC channels, this Sr. Director Secondee will play a key role in Pfizer Primary Care’s vision of evolving our go to market model to increase our coordination and proactive planning to best meet this critical customer’s needs. HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT This highly experienced and dynamic leader will drive success of the team’s Health System, Urgent Care, Long-Term Care channel vision across the Primary Care portfolio. This role will be charged with anticipating and planning for what is on the horizon to generate invaluable strategic insights, while also deploying aspirational yet realistic plans.

Requirements

  • BA/BS with 12+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 10+ years of experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare
  • Deep expertise and knowledge of the dynamic US health system landscape with relevant experiences in the commercial/marketing business.
  • Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; Demonstrated ability to develop senior leadership presentations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix environment as a team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations in a matrix organizational structure through the participation in or leadership of cross-functional teams, strong team membership skills.
  • Prior quantitative analytics experience heavily preferred.
  • Prior experiences in the commercial/marketing business
  • Demonstrated business acumen, very strong analytical skills, and strategic mindset.
  • Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills.

  • PhD or JD with 7+ years of experience OR MD/DVM with 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Channel Strategy & Execution Provide strategic leadership to shape the team’s overarching vision, guide integrated go‑to‑market strategy development, and drive coordinated tactical execution across the Health Systems, Long‑Term Care, and Urgent Care channels. Apply customer insights and market dynamics to guide channel planning and optimize Primary Care portfolio performance.
  • Cross ‑ Functional Collaboration & Customer Engagement Represent the HULC channel perspective in key planning forums to ensure customer and channel considerations inform portfolio strategies. Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, providing channel expertise and customer-informed recommendations. Coordinate with leads across marketing, sales, medical, access, and analytics teams to ensure alignment and cohesive execution across the Primary Care franchise. Help identify opportunities for innovative, integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of Health Systems, LTC organizations, and Urgent Care networks.
  • Team Leadership & Operational Excellence Lead, coach, and develop a team of six high-performing colleagues, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans to build strong channel expertise within the team. Oversee the design and execution of operational processes that enable proactive planning and cross-functional coordination across the Primary Care business. Drive strong business management discipline to ensure execution excellence and alignment with the broader Customer & Channel Group vision.
