About The Position

As a Sr. Director Engineering Operationalization here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the engineering function with a focus on SIOP and TRR. Your role will involve strategic oversight and management of engineering projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will report directly to our VP Technology Transformation, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's ability to enhance operational efficiency, manage talent effectively, and ensure the successful execution of engineering strategies. Your leadership will drive innovation in R&D footprints, optimize lab infrastructure, and ensure the effective management of contracts and partnerships.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
  • Prior experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering operations.
  • Proven track record of successful project execution and delivery.
  • Excellent leadership abilities and strategic thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Desired experience includes a minimum of 8 years in engineering leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to drive innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and advancements in the relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of the global SIOP and TRR processes to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational excellence.
  • Manage talent development and skills management to build a high-performing engineering organization.
  • Oversee 3 rd party and contract service worker partnerships and ensure effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement labor cost (OEF) management practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure lab infrastructure and site needs are met to support R&D initiatives while managing global footprint strategies.
  • Utilize Global Design Models (GDM) to drive engineering operations transformation.
  • Manage timesheet processes to ensure accurate data controls and reporting.
