About The Position

The Senior Director Distribution is responsible for managing all operational programs, initiatives, and performance for the regional distribution center (RDC) network for a large geographical area. This includes financial planning, productivity management, operational reporting, quality and safety program management, and staffing. This person is responsible for creating programs and processes that create a positive work environment following Best Buy values and policies while driving continuous improvement in all operational areas. In addition, this person will be responsible for representing Distribution Operations in driving vendor compliance in partnership with Transportation, Demand Planning, and Marketing. You'll conduct regular on-site visits to distribution centers across your multi-state territory in the East/Southeast United States.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing supervisors in the areas of business, military or related fields.
  • 10 or more years of logistics, operational, warehouse, inventory and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the regional distribution center network for Store replenishment and eCommerce.
  • Build and maintain budgets, financial reporting and goals in partnership with Finance, Distribution Operations, and Supply Chain Leadership.
  • Ensure timely reporting of performance, escalating issues and opportunities as appropriate to drive change and ensure goals are met.
  • Provide coaching and development of all members of the Leadership teams under his/her direction.
  • Create a positive diverse and inclusive work environment focused on positive reinforcement and clear accountabilities.
  • Maintain effective and ongoing partnerships with customers both internally and externally by providing feedback and guidance in support of the overall customer service mission.
  • Partner with other areas across Supply Chain to ensure continuous improvement in all centers, driving a positive experience for all internal and external customers while delivering cost effective solutions.
  • Actively participate in special projects, company initiatives, community building events, and other leadership duties as apparent or assigned.
