PacifiCorp is seeking customer-centric candidates to grow and sustain our commitment to a culture of customer service excellence, environmental sustainability inclusion & belonging. Responsible for managing the corporate application product teams and systems, which includes core systems around Human Resources (HR), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Capital Project Management, as well as shared systems that support data transfer and integrations. Managing the software includes administration, configuration, integration updates, system upgrades, outage planning, and patch management. In addition to supporting the systems, this position will own the complete corporate application portfolio to help manage the maintenance and enhancement plans, patches, upgrades, decommissioning life-cycles, and dependencies with other systems. This planning will take place with leadership across business and IT groups.

  • Work with the IT Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Vice President of Applications, other IT leaders, as well as business leadership to manage an overall strategy for the corporate applications portfolio.
  • Manage various teams in support of the corporate systems, including sustainment of current systems and new projects.
  • Establish and support ongoing support processes for system changes, updates, upgrades, and outages.
  • Lead the evaluation, scheduling, and resourcing needs of new systems or large updates.
  • Ensure application processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies.
  • Develop team skills and capabilities to meet organizational needs, including recruiting candidates.
  • Manage third-party contracts related to corporate application systems, including defining scope and managing adherence.
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships with business partners and IT leadership.
  • Participate in technology strategy planning sessions and make corporate application technology choices.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically, six years of related, progressive work experience needed for candidates without a bachelor's degree.
  • Masters (or MBA) in business, statistics, information systems, engineering or other technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of related experience in the information technology field, including seven years supervisory/management responsibilities.
  • Experience with managing a technical support or project team in HR, SCM, or ERP preferred, especially within the Oracle product suite.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills with experience working with executives.
  • Experience of creating and managing a budget to support technical resources and vendor contracts.
  • Experience with working with external vendors to establish support contracts and project scopes.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently.
