About The Position

The Senior Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic growth opportunities through the acquisition of emergency medicine and anesthesia physician groups. This role requires a proven track record in healthcare business development, strong relationship-building skills, and deep knowledge of physician practices, hospital partnerships, and healthcare market dynamics. The Senior Director will lead the full lifecycle of acquisition efforts—from pipeline development and due diligence to acquisition opportunity execution and integration. Requirements

  • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex healthcare transactions and partnerships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel when needed to build relationships and evaluate opportunities with physician growth leadership.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a results-driven mindset.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
  • Collaborative leader with the ability to partner across clinical, operational, and financial function
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, M&A, or physician practice management.
  • Strong understanding of emergency medicine and anesthesia markets, physician practice operations, and hospital contracting.

Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy & Market Development Develops and executes Company’s business development strategy focused on acquiring emergency medicine and anesthesia groups.
  • Executes existing market research and relationships with high-value targets, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends in physician practices servicing hospital partnerships.
  • Cultivates and maintains a robust pipeline of physician group prospects in partnership with physician growth leadership.
  • Relationship Management Cultivates and maintains relationships with physician group leadership, hospital executives, and industry leaders.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact throughout acquisition discussions, ensuring a trusted and consultative approach in partnership with physician growth leadership.
  • Opportunity Execution Leads the evaluation, due diligence, and structuring of acquisition opportunities.
  • Collaborates with legal, financial, and clinical leadership to negotiate terms and closing transactions.
  • Prepares and delivers compelling presentations to executive leadership, board members, and potential partners.
  • Integration & Value Creation Partners with operations and clinical leadership to ensure successful onboarding and integration of acquired groups.
  • Tracks and reports on each acquisition target’s performance and value realization post-transaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
