Provides leadership and daily oversight of an integrated program encompassing a complex center or multiple departments at the University. Oversees budget administration, allocation of resources, projects, and supervision of staff.
Develops, implements, and directs a comprehensive program for a complex center or multiple departments.
Collaborates with the leadership team to establish priorities for departments.
Develops and manage budgets, staffing plans, and departmental goals in alignment with the division's strategies.
Establishes performance metrics and lead efforts to monitor departmental activities.
Represents department to internal and external constituents.
Creates or review policies and processes and implement improvements.
Hires and directs the activities of staff identifying the department goals and ensures all are met.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
