About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Sr. Director who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and can operate with strategic depth while executing with precision. This role reports to the SVP of Legal, Streaming, Privacy & Accessibility for Discovery Global (DG) and will lead the Accessibility Governance & Compliance team for DG upon the split of Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) into Warner Bros (WB) and DG. The Sr. Director will manage enterprise accessibility governance, regulatory compliance programs, and cross-functional content and digital operational alignment across DG’s business lines, products and facilities, including managing a team of two analysts. The ideal candidate is a senior leader who can oversee critical governance and workflows, drive consistency across business units, build sustainable operational models, and ensure high‑quality delivery against regulatory and corporate standards. This role requires excellent judgment, strong organizational leadership and the ability to partner with senior executives, product and production teams, legal, vendors, and other groups, as well as managing and mentoring junior team members. You will work under the current WBD Head of Accessibility Governance & Compliance team to execute governance, compliance, regulatory management, content, and operational programs, ensuring enterprise consistency and reducing organizational risk, while training for the lead Accessibility role for DG at the time of operational split of WBD into WB and DG.

Requirements

  • 10+ years progressive strategic-level management experience in digital and content production, program management, and team leadership required.
  • 7+ years digital accessibility experience required.
  • 5+ years content accessibility experience required.
  • CPACC certification or on track to obtain CPACC certification required.
  • Auditing experience (technical, accessibility, compliance audits) required.
  • Strong presentation skills, including PowerPoint decks, KPIs, and dashboard reporting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
  • Proven ability to harmonize governance out of regulatory requirements and best practices, and to assess and translate that risk for Legal teams is required.
  • Experience with tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence…) required.
  • Fluency with all Microsoft O365 software and tools, including SharePoint, required.
  • Successful vendor management experience required.
  • Successful and successful regulatory management experience required.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative required.
  • Strong management-by-service orientation required.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across different areas of expertise required.
  • Ability to coach and manage personnel required.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and get the job done in a dynamic environment required.
  • Localization experience (captions, audio description, sign language, dubbing) required.

  • Proficiency and fluency with automation languages (e.g., Python) a strong plus.

  • Experience with developing and managing advanced AI technologies a plus.
  • Degree in: Human Factors, AI/Machine Learning, Engineering, Computers, Legal… a plus.
