About The Position

The Director of Therapeutic Innovation & Enablement is a strategic partner and innovation catalyst for IQVIA’s Therapeutic Centers of Excellence. This role drives insight‑powered differentiation, accelerates the development of innovative solutions, and enables therapeutic teams with the capabilities, tools, and frameworks necessary to “see more and win more.” The Director will work cross‑functionally to identify opportunity spaces, shape solution strategy, and help bring high‑impact therapeutic offerings to market. This role requires a unique blend of therapeutic domain knowledge, strategic thinking, solution design expertise, and exceptional collaboration skills.

Requirements

  • Therapeutic and Market Expertise: Strong understanding of the biopharma drug development lifecycle and therapeutic strategy considerations. Experience analyzing therapeutic landscapes, clinical pathways, and competitive intelligence. Ability to translate scientific/clinical insights into strategic business implications.
  • Innovation & Solution Design: Experience in solution development, product strategy, design thinking, or innovation frameworks. Ability to develop clear and compelling value propositions, solution blueprints, and go‑to‑market narratives. Familiarity with structured innovation processes (e.g., stage‑gate, Lean Startup, customer‑driven design).
  • Strategic, Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced capability in synthesizing large amounts of information into clear, actionable insights. Strong commercial thinking and ability to assess solution viability, differentiation, and market impact. Skilled in building business cases, strategic frameworks, and decision‑support materials.
  • Program & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional programs and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders. Comfortable managing multiple concurrent initiatives with structure, clarity, and discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences required, advanced degree preferred, with specialization in one or more therapeutic areas and 10 years global clinical research relevant experience, including hands-on operational delivery and/or drug development experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Extensive experience with Clinical Operations and Clinical Project Management
  • Requires some Bid Defense experience
  • Proven track record in operational delivery and/or drug development involvement

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Insight & Differentiation: Lead the synthesis of therapeutic, market, and customer insights to identify unmet needs and whitespace opportunities. Translate insights into actionable recommendations and differentiated solution concepts. Support development of value propositions, positioning, and competitive intelligence strategy for TA‑aligned solutions.
  • Innovation & Solution Development: Facilitate structured innovation processes (ideation, concept evaluation, prototype definition, validation). Partner with COE members, SMEs, and cross‑functional teams to design and shape differentiated therapeutic solutions. Create scalable frameworks, templates, and best practices that improve consistency and speed across solution development efforts.
  • Therapeutic Enablement & Capability Building: Build and maintain tools, playbooks, and enablement assets (e.g., TA aligned capability decks) that strengthen the effectiveness of therapeutic area teams. Guide teams in applying innovation methodologies, market insight frameworks, and solution design principles. Mentor internal stakeholders on approaches to differentiation and innovation excellence.
  • Operational Excellence & Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Serve as a connector across Therapeutic Strategy, R&D Solutions, and Real-World Evidence. Ensure strategic alignment and shared ownership across programs and solution initiatives. Support leadership reporting, prioritization, and portfolio visibility for innovation and growth‑related efforts.
  • Impact Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define measurable success criteria for solutions, including market potential, differentiation, and commercial readiness. Track progress and outcomes to inform iteration and continuous improvement. Promote a culture of learning, experimentation, and disciplined execution.
