Shift: 40 hrs. per week, M-S (days, evenings, nights, depending on availability) Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Food Services UTower CORE JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Cleans and stocks the assigned dining area. 2. Ensures food stations are fully stocked. 3. Monitors food levels and reports need to appropriate senior staff member. 4. Launders kitchen towels and keeps equipment and server clean at all times. 5. Erects, dismantles, cleans, and stores dining room furniture. 6. Makes note of the orders placed and ensures customers receive the correct food items. 7. Creates a pleasant ambiance in the dining room area. 8. Assists in the handling of crowds efficiently to reduce wait time. 9. Secures the dining room when closing for the day. 10. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Commitment to the University’s core values.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities
