Inc., a top 20 digital-media company, seeks an iOS Developer to join the USA TODAY CO Native Apps Engineering team. We are based in Tysons Corner, VA, but we are a distributed team, and there is no need for relocation in order to join us. The mobile team is responsible for developing and delivering best-in-class mobile solutions scalable throughout multiple USA TODAY CO brands including USA TODAY. Solutions include in-house and managed vendor approaches and target all mobile devices from a native application perspective. All USA TODAY CO mobile initiatives are extremely high profile and must utilize state-of-the-art technologies.
Requirements
- Specific duties include building Native iOS applications using the latest technologies and frameworks
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is a must, and a degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of iOS experience.
- Knowledge of Objective C and Swift programming languages is a must.
- Knowledge of Swift concurrency is a must.
- Strong object-oriented design, programming and debugging skills.
- Experience with GIT or other version control systems is a must.
- Demonstrable experience with Xcode and iOS SDK is a must
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Flutter and Dart is a major plus.
Responsibilities
- Timely development, testing, and release of mobile applications for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS in support of USA TODAY CO. mobile initiatives.
- Pay keen attention to detail to comply with USA TODAY Co.'s high standards of quality.
- Work with other developers, designers, and product/business managers to develop new features consistent with the product roadmap.
- Learn and absorb new technologies quickly, be a strong team player, and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands.
