Amazon is seeking a motivated and data-driven Category Manager to support Americas data center expansion and infrastructure development. The ideal candidate should possess strong supply chain and procurement expertise, analytical and financial acumen, excellent communication capabilities, and a hands-on passion for diving deep into data center capacity planning and construction processes. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate proven experience managing large-scale supply chain and procurement improvement projects. As a Category Manager for the Energy Infrastructure and Projects portfolio, you will create and implement sourcing strategies for energy infrastructure procurement categories and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and optimize costs for Amazon. This role specifically requires candidates with Natural Gas Industry experience in the following areas: Prior experience in natural gas trading operations and market dynamics Knowledge of pipeline infrastructure including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) scope, commercial frameworks, and contract negotiations Understanding of natural gas extraction, production, and transportation processes Familiarity with upstream processes and natural gas value chain You will develop mechanisms and metrics to ensure supplier accountability for performance and delivery. Success will be driven through competitive bidding, strategic negotiations, and comprehensive analysis of data and market trends for your category.
